Those four steals set a new season-high mark for he. The team also got some help courtesy of Elias Garcia, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Heritage also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Boulder by a score of 53-43. Heritage has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jace Winkler put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored eight points. He also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Atticus Schroeder, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Westminster's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Keep an eye on the arc in Thursday's game: Westminster have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having only averaged 5.2 threes per game. It's a different story for Heritage, though, as they've been averaging only 5.8 threes per game. Given Westminster's sizeable advantage in that area, Heritage will need to find a way to close that gap.
