If Watersprings were riding high off their 42-15 takedown of Varsity Opponent last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Watersprings was beaten by Leadore 44-17 on Saturday. Watersprings has struggled against Leadore recently, as their game on Saturday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Watersprings players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaitlyn Syverson, who scored 13 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Libby Grijalva, who scored two points along with seven rebounds and seven blocks.
Watersprings has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Leadore, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 16-3.
Watersprings does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Leadore will be playing at home against Rockland at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (Rockland is ranked 93rd, while Leadore is ranked 78th).
