The Browning Indians had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 68-36 victory over Corvallis on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Browning also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2021.
Among those leading the charge was Jerel White Grass, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Amari Calf Robe was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Browning's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Corvallis, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Browning won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Butte Central Catholic. As for Corvallis, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Polson at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Polson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Friday.
