Softball Recap: Dimond Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Dimond had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the West Anchorage Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lynx also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Dimond saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubree Ogee, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Dimond pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for West Anchorage, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Dimond wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Bettye Davis East Anchorage on the 10th. As for West Anchorage, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 16-5 defeat against Colony on the 10th.
