The Taunton Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the King Philip Regional Warriors at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Taunton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
On Monday, Taunton got the win against Canton by a conclusive 12-1. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Cameron Tomaszycki was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Joseph Benoit, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one triple. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Jacob Nadeau also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Taunton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between King Philip Regional and North Attleborough, and North Attleborough kept the tradition alive. The Warriors fell just short of the Rocketeers by a score of 3-2 on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Warriors couldn't push the score so high this time.
Nate Pennini was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits.
On the hitting side, King Philip Regional saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tommy Gately, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.
Having lost for the first time this season, King Philip Regional fell to 10-1. As for Taunton, their record is now 10-2.
Taunton was able to grind out a solid victory over King Philip Regional in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 9-6. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
