The Riverside Rebels scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Meeteetse 54-27 at home. The win was a breath of fresh air for Riverside as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
When it comes to explaining why Meeteetse lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kayla Horsen. Despite the final result, she scored ten points along with six rebounds and four steals. That was a full 37% of Meeteetse's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meeteetse struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. They are winless (0-3) when they can't control their own glass like that.
Riverside's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Meeteetse, their loss was their 11th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-9.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Dubois the next time they take the court. Riverside will head out to face Dubois at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Meeteetse will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
