Jacob Hartle was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off two hits. He is becoming a predictor of New Plymouth's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 5-2 (and 8-11 when he doesn't). Hartle was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
In other batting news, Ashton Robinson and Kaden Hawker did most of the damage at the plate: Robinson went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Hawker went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. New Plymouth is 5-1 when Robinson posts two or more stolen bases, but 8-12 otherwise.
New Plymouth was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Fremont only posted a batting average of .167.
The victory got New Plymouth back to even at 13-13. As for North Fremont, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11-1.
