The Anzar Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Kirby Prep Griffins at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Kirby Prep took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Anzar, who comes in off a win.
Last Wednesday, Anzar came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 57-44 (the very same score they lost by the week prior).
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Kirby Prep had to settle for a 31-28 loss against the Warriors on Friday.
Despite the loss, Kirby Prep saw an underclassman step up: Chris Lively scored 18 points along with five steals. Lively is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nate Kawasaki, who scored six points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Anzar's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7. As for Kirby Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
