Adam Strouss threw two touchdowns and ran for two more as
Episcopal Academy (Newtown Square, Pa.) bested
Malvern Prep (Malvern, Pa.) 26-7 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a Strouss touchdown pass to
Ian Strain in the second quarter, the Churchmen led 20-7 at the half.
With the win Episcopal Academy extended its winning streak to eight games. EA defeated the Blue Devils 21-0 last week.
William Ford made a difference for the Friars. The senior quarterback ran for one touchdown.
Malvern Prep's lone touchdown came on a 1-yard run by Ford in the first quarter.
The Newtown Square school went into the matchup giving up only 2.0 points per game.
The Churchmen got revenge for last year's 14-0 loss to MP with the victory.
The loss comes after Malvern Prep defeated William Penn Charter 27-20 last week. The loss snapped the Malvern school's 3-game winning streak.
Malvern Prep (5-3) goes up against Haverford School in a Inter-Academic game matchup next week, while Episcopal Academy (8-0) locks horns with Germantown Academy also in a Inter-Academic game.
