Softball Recap: Goochland's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Goochland's offense. They fell 3-0 to the Monticello Mustangs on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Goochland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ellie Toney, who went 1-for-3 with one double. Cameron Pickeral also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Goochland's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Monticello, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Goochland will host Charlottesville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs are facing the Black Knights at the right time seeing as the Black Knights are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Monticello, they will square off against Louisa County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
