Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Blanchester

Blanchester entered their tilt with Felicity-Franklin on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by an 18-5 margin over the Cardinals. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by ten runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Tatum Strange, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Alayna Davenport, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Blanchester always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They are 7-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Blanchester's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-9. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Felicity-Franklin, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Coincidentally, Blanchester and Felicity-Franklin will both be playing East Clinton the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will host the Astros at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Cardinals will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
