The Grace Christian School Kings are taking a road trip to take on the Richmond Christian Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Grace Christian School will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
Grace Christian School is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 19-2 margin over Grove Christian School on Tuesday. The Kings haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Isiah Ignace was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Ignace was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Grant Boucher was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Grace Christian School's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-4 when he doesn't). Cameron Martin also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Grace Christian School always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Richmond Christian came out on top against The Carmel School on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Warriors narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Wildcats 7-5. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Kelsey Smith made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Zack Guillory, who went 1-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Parker Grubb was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and one run.
Grace Christian School's record now sits at 8-4. As for Richmond Christian, their record is now 2-4.
Richmond Christian's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Grace Christian School hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .347. It's a different story for Richmond Christian, though, as they've only averaged .228. Will they be able to contain Grace Christian School's hitters?
Everything went Grace Christian School's way against Richmond Christian when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Grace Christian School made off with a 15-4 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Kings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
