The Cedar Park Christian Eagles can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Saturday. They walked away with a 70-60 victory over Northwest Yeshiva. Cedar Park Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joe Benoliel, who scored 18 points. The match was Benoliel's third in a row with at least ten points. Sam Chernicoff was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Cedar Park Christian's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-4. As for Northwest Yeshiva, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedar Park Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Inglemoor at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northwest Yeshiva will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sound Christian at 8:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
