Arthur Flynn of Orland ran for the longest rushing play in Butte View this season against Winters last week. Flynn's team bested the Warriors as he sprinted for 98 yards on the play and finished with 158 in all.
Orland extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Winters, 21-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for Mike Mcdonald's team.
Jackson Hopking threw for 159 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 13-18 with 0 interceptions.
Armando Grimaldi was a key player and the best on defense this week as Wheatland defeated Gridley. The 5-foot-6 junior racked up 1 sack.
Jordan Samson was the best wideout in the league this week as the Pirates topped the Bulldogs. Samson tallied 6 receptions for 107 yards. Justin Hawkins helped Wheatland's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 41 yards.
5-foot-10 quarterback Randy Post of Sutter is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,680. He has also thrown 18 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Samson. The Wheatland star has 39 catches for 633 yards.
The Trojans' Flynn needs only 94 yards against Corning next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 124 carries Flynn has put up 906 yards this year.
Las Plumas fell to Paradise 49-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
