D.C. Everest is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Wausau East on Tuesday as they made off with a 21-7 victory. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Evergreens with their most commanding win of the season.

D.C. Everest got a massive performance out of Madelyn Hoppe, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Hoppe has posted since back in March. Allison Blarek was another key player, going 3-for-5 with four runs, three RBI, and two doubles.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: D.C. Everest kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 23 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
The home team had come away the winner the last seven times Stevens Point and Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Panthers came out on top against the Red Raiders by a score of 9-4 on Tuesday. The game was the first time the Panthers have beaten the Red Raiders on their field since May 28, 2019.
Callie Diekhus made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
In other pitching news, Abbi Grabow looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Addi Peskie, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run and four RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jordan Roth, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Stevens Point pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for D.C. Everest, their record is now 8-5.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. D.C. Everest hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .329. However, it's not like Stevens Point struggles in that department as they've averaged .445. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
D.C. Everest suffered a grim 12-4 defeat to Stevens Point in their previous meeting on April 14th. Can the Evergreens avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
