The Lincoln Lancers will head out to challenge the Fort Lupton Bluedevils at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lincoln knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Fort Lupton likes a good challenge.
Lincoln came out on top against Jefferson on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fifth inning. The Lancers blew past the Jeff Saint 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won 15 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Byron Leyva made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Wednesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Lincoln has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .575. However, it's not like Fort Lupton struggles in that department as they've averaged .446. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
