International Studies were the 52-47 winner over the Hialeah Educational Academy Biggie when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. International Studies was beaten by Hialeah Educational Academy 107-21 on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, International Studies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 818th, while Hialeah Educational Academy is ranked 44th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hialeah Educational Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Reece Randolph, who went 10 for 16 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points and 2 assists. Randolph is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Levy, who scored 24 points along with five steals.
International Studies' loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Hialeah Educational Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.
International Studies will head out on the road to challenge Mater Brickell Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Mater Brickell Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Wednesday. As for Hialeah Educational Academy, they will take on Olympia at 9:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Olympia's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six contests.
