The Potlatch Loggers had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against St. Maries by a score of 40-30 on Wednesday. That 40-30 margin sets a new team best for Potlatch this season.
Several Lumberjacks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sami Sindt, who scored nine points along with five rebounds. Sindt scored a full 30% of St. Maries' points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Potlatch's victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. As for St. Maries, they bumped their record down to 2-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Potlatch will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Troy at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. After both having extra time off, St. Maries and Orofino will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
