There's no place like home for the Navarre Raiders, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 66-64 win over Milton on Friday. The victory was all the more spectacular given Navarre's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 385th, while Milton is ranked 123rd).
Navarre's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Darius Cunningham, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Brauns, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Navarre now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Milton, their loss dropped their record down to 17-4.
Navarre will head out on the road to challenge Pensacola at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pensacola is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak. As for Milton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Choctawhatchee at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
