Basketball Recap: Stevens Piles Up the Points Against Mascoma

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stevens). They took their match on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 51-9 win over the Mascoma Royals. The Cardinals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Royals, too.

When it comes to explaining why Mascoma lost, don't look at Aaralyn Chiasson. Despite the final result, she posted five points. That was a full 55.6% of Mascoma's points, marking the third time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Stevens' victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7. As for Mascoma, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Monadnock the next time they take the court. Mascoma will head out to face Monadnock at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Stevens will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
