The Broomfield Eagles had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They took down Fruita Monument 21-6. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Broomfield also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Broomfield was led to victory by CT Worley and Caleb Meehan. Worley rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown, while Meehan rushed for 65 yards and two touchdowns.
Broomfield's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Fruita Monument, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3.
Broomfield will take on Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Heritage is ranked 24th, while Broomfield is ranked 22nd). Fruita Monument does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
