The Port Jervis Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 22 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Pine Bush 69-41 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Port Jervis sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Isaiah Boucher was his usual excellent self, scoring 30 points along with eight assists and five rebounds. The match was his eighth in a row with at least ten points. Carroll Dolshun was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Port Jervis' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.67 points. As for Pine Bush, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.
Port Jervis will finish 2023 at home by hosting East Stroudsburg North at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (East Stroudsburg North is ranked 307th in Pennsylvania, while Port Jervis is ranked 332nd in New York). Pine Bush will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Washingtonville at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
