Logansport will face off against West St. John in a playoff contest on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep their six-game winning streak alive.
Logansport earned some postseason bragging rights after a successful outing last Friday. They were fully in charge, breezing past Montgomery 42-6. Xavier Simpson and Patrick Mims were among the main playmakers for the Tigers as the former rushed for 95 yards and one TD on seven carries and the latter caught five passes for 66 yards and two TDs. This makes it six games in a row in which Simpson has produced a touchdown.
Meanwhile, West St. John kept a clean sheet against LaSalle. West St. John put a hurting on LaSalle to the tune of 44 to nothing. With West St. John ahead 32 to nothing at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
It could have gone either way late during winning time for the Tigers or the Rams when the two teams last met in last November, but it was the Rams snatching the 24-23 win. The defeat knocked the Tigers out of the playoffs, so expect them to come at the Rams with a vengeful fire.
