Kansas School for the Deaf has struggled against Frontier School of Excellence recently, as their contest on Thursday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Kansas School for the Deaf's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eli Grove, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Tyler McCallum was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six assists and two steals.
Henry Uti was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season.
Kansas School for the Deaf's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4. As for Frontier School of Excellence, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
Kansas School for the Deaf and Veritas Christian will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Veritas Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Saturday. As for Frontier School of Excellence, they will head out on the road to challenge Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
