On Friday, Interlake was able to grind out a solid victory over Highline, taking the game 15-11.

Albany Aponte (2027) made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, four stolen bases, and three runs.
In other batting news, Interlake got a massive performance out of Madeline Knight (2028), who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with three stolen bases and five runs. That's the most stolen bases Knight (2028) has posted since back in April of 2025. Grace Martinez (2029) was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, Cedarcrest won against Sammamish on Wednesday with 19 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Red Wolves' pitchers stepped up to hand Bellevue a 19-0 shutout. The Red Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by ten runs or more this season.
Like Interlake, Cedarcrest also got a great game from a two-way player: Ryann Bottemiller. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. Bottemiller was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Josie Fiala was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Kyle Watson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Cedarcrest kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.7 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 15.
The win got Cedarcrest back to even at 6-6. As for Interlake, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Interlake has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Cedarcrest struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
