The Bangor Cardinals won the last time they faced the Brookwood Falcons, and things went their way on Friday too. Bangor enjoyed a cozy 70-54 victory over Brookwood. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bangor.
Chase Horstman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 18 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Michek, who scored 11 points.
Bangor's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Brookwood, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bangor won't have much time to rest: their next game is against West Salem at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th. West Salem knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 matches -- so hopefully Bangor likes a good challenge. As for Brookwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Wauzeka-Steuben at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
