Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chaminade). They took down the Loyola Cubs 83-68 on Sunday. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Jonas Thurman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 11 for 19 on his way to 32 points along with six boards and five assists. His afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Koby Nichols was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Chaminade's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 19-9. As for Loyola, they dropped their record down to 18-11 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Chaminade won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Notre Dame (SO) at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Chaminade has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Loyola does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
