Josh Gillespie was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
