Mifflin County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Cyrell Green picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Northern York lost to Spring Grove on the road by a 31-14 margin on Friday.
Although Northern York took the loss, they still got scores from Tim Gunning and Owin Gilbert.
Northern York wouldn't let Spring Grove keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Connor Geidel, Gunning, and Jeremiah Coon picked up one apiece.
Things could have been worse for Mifflin County, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 42-28 loss to Northern York in their previous meeting back in September of 2019. Thankfully for Mifflin County, Kyle Swartz (who rushed for 275 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
