With a playoff game on the line, Luther rose to the challenge  on Monday. They skirted past the Waldorf Wolverines  16-15. The  win was some much needed relief for Luther as it spelled an end to their 11-game losing streak dating back to last season.
  Haliey Melio was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing four bases while going 5-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of  Serena Lopez, who  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.
 Luther's victory  ended  a  nine-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 1-10. As for Waldorf, their  loss was their first of the  season and makes their record 2-1.
 Luther is on the road again  on Tuesday to play Portledge at 4:00  p.m. Luther is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9  runs per game  this season. Waldorf does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
