The Crown Point Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 61-31 loss at the hands of Boquet Valley. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Crown Point in their matchups with Boquet Valley: they've now lost four in a row.
Ella Lobdell was her usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with nine rebounds and seven steals for Boquet Valley. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lobdell has scored at least a third of Boquet Valley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Reynolds, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Crown Point's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Boquet Valley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crown Point will take on North Warren Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Boquet Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Schroon Lake at 6:30 p.m.
