The Middleton Tigers can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top against Armwood by a score of 48-36. This was payback for Middleton, who suffered a 62-51 loss the last time these two teams met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Middleton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Felix Harrell, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harrell has scored all season. Antonio Lewis Jr was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Middleton's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-13. As for Armwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Middleton and Jefferson will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Jefferson is on a five-game streak of home losses, Middleton a six-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Armwood on the road again on Friday and play against Newsome at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Newsome aren't just struggling at home either: they haven't won a game anywhere since December 27, 2023.
