Softball Recap: Delta Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Delta took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Parowan, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rabbits narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Rams 8-7. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Rabbits as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Delta got a big performance out of Fallon Johnson, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Rachel Bryan, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Delta hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive matchups.

Delta's victory bumped their record up to 11-15. As for Parowan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season.

Delta will head out to take on Panguitch at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rabbits' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 11.4 runs per game this season. Parowan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
