Blanco is a perfect 6-0 against Lytle since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Panthers will be taking part in a tournament against the Pirates at 10:45 a.m. Blanco will be strutting in after a victory while Lytle will be coming in after a loss.
Blanco will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Canyon Lake on Thursday. The Panthers walked away with an 11-8 win over the Hawks. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Landry Meyer was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mattie Smith, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Blanco lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Lytle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Incarnate Word, falling 17-5.
Marley Macias made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Danielle Rangel, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
Lytle's loss dropped their record down to 5-5-1. As for Blanco, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Blanco hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .338. However, it's not like Lytle struggles in that department as they've averaged .359. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Blanco's way against Lytle in their previous meeting on Saturday, as Blanco made off with a 15-7 victory. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
