Bainbridge is 8-2 against Cairo since December of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Bainbridge Bearcats will play host again and welcome the Cairo Syrupmakers, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Tuesday, Bainbridge was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 53-47 to Hardaway.
Meanwhile, Cairo was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 55-54 to Thomas County Central.
Bainbridge's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Cairo, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
Bainbridge beat Cairo 52-40 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Cairo's Fabian Yarbrough, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be that much easier for Bainbridge to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
