The StoneBridge Cavaliers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They managed a 31-25 win over Denbigh Baptist Christian. That result was just more of the same for these two, as StoneBridge also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
It was another big night for Tyler Thompson, who scored 13 points along with six steals and five rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Boden Brueseke, who scored seven points.
The victory got StoneBridge back to even at 7-7. As for Denbigh Baptist Christian, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. StoneBridge will take on TEACH at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. TEACH has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1. As for Denbigh Baptist Christian, Denbigh Baptist Christian and Atlantic Shores Christian will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
