Greene has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on The Charles O. Dickerson Blue Raiders at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Thursday, Greene blew past Oxford Academy/Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton, posting a 60-20 win at home.
Meanwhile, Charles O. Dickerson faced Groton in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Charles O. Dickerson breezed by Groton at home to the tune of 60-12. The win was nothing new for Charles O. Dickerson as they're now sitting on three straight.
Chandler Wright continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 170 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, while also picking up 67 receiving yards. Wright was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 62 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Dikota Hamilton, who gained 159 total yards and two touchdowns.
Greene has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Charles O. Dickerson, their victory was their fourth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 6-1.
Greene was taken down by Charles O. Dickerson 60-19 when the teams last played back in October. Can Greene avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
