The Boulder Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Horizon Hawks at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday. The last three games Boulder has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
On Thursday, Boulder didn't have quite enough to beat Riverdale Ridge and fell 15-14.

Finn Torvik was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of his six plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.
In other batting news, Maks Matheson and Sam Skubic did some serious damage despite the final result: Matheson went 2-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Skubic went 3-for-6 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Matheson has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Max Daily was another key player, going 2-for-5 with four RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Horizon fell victim to Legacy and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 12-0 to the Lightning Bolt.
Horizon's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Boulder, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-4.
Horizon's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Boulder has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .448. It's a different story for Horizon, though, as they've only averaged .337. Will they be able to contain Boulder's hitters?
Boulder beat Horizon 14-9 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
