5A Region II District 12 recap September 24, 2013
Rockwall-Heath's Rico Henderson rumbled for the longest rushing play in 5A Region II District 12 this season in his game against Rowlett last week. Henderson ran for 88 yards on the play and finished with 158 on the day as his team beat the Eagles.
Rockwall-Heath extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Rowlett, 28-13. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Dezmond Chumley and Jamycal Hasty gave Longview a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Chumley threw for 205 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Hasty ran for 204 yards. Quatorian Jacobs also contributed to the rushing game with 54 yards on the ground.

Octayvius Miles was the best wideout in the league this week as Mesquite fell to Plano West. Miles racked up 8 receptions for 97 yards. Robert Blythe helped Mesquite's passing attack out by catching 8 balls for 55 yards.
Hasty was the most successful running back in 5A Region II District 12 this week.
He was 12-18 with 0 interception.
Chumley put up the best numbers through the air as Longview defeated Lufkin. Chumley's favorite target this week was Stephon Anthony, who caught 2 passes for 76 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Horn's Destri White and Jarrison Stewart have proven to be a lethal combination. White has thrown for 857 yards this season, while Stewart, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 18 catches for 321 yards. John King's team's Hasty leads the league in rushing yards with 713.
The Hawks are in first place, while Rockwall is in sixth place.
The Yellowjackets moved up to 116 from 256 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Rockwall was able to move up by defeating Boyd 34-14.
