Meade ran circles around Southwestern Heights last Friday, and the extra yardage (378 yards vs. 195 yards) paid off. Meade put the hurt on Southwestern Heights with a sharp 43-14 win. The success represented a nice turnaround for Meade, who in their last game suffered a tough 6-44 loss.
Meanwhile, Stanton County took a serious blow against Cimarron, falling 8-66. Stanton County were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-52.
Meade's victory lifted them to 1-2 while Stanton County's defeat dropped them down to 1-2. In their victory, Meade relied heavily on senior Jarret Stapleton, who rushed for 173 yards and 5 touchdowns. Stanton County will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
