Puyallup has gone a perfect 10-0 against Curtis recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. Puyallup will challenge Curtis at 3:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Puyallup has eight straight wins, Curtis has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Curtis' hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Wednesday: Puyallup hadn't allowed a single run the last four times they've hit the field. Everything went the Vikings' way against Spanaway Lake on Tuesday as they made off with a 21-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Lilith Beach was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Ella Williams was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Kayla Ringenbach was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Puyallup always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .698. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Curtis came up short against Emerald Ridge on Monday, falling 10-3.
Like Puyallup, Curtis also got a great game from a two-way player: Kylie Smith. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up three earned (and seven unearned) runs off seven hits. Smith was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Hope Winer was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Sophia Woodall also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Puyallup's record now sits at 13-2. As for Curtis, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
Curtis' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Puyallup has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.5 hits per game. It's a different story for Curtis, though, as they've been averaging 8.8 hits. Given Puyallup's sizable advantage in that area, Curtis will need to find a way to close that gap.
Puyallup got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Curtis by a conclusive 18-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for Puyallup since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
