The biggest upset of the week belonged to St. Mary's-Colgan, who took down 50th ranked St. Mary's-Colgan, 26-25.
Galena was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in Crawford-Neosho-Cherokee. The Bulldogs beat Northeast 57-24 earlier in the week.
Nate Bole and Jace McDown gave Columbus a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Bole threw for 73 yards and one touchdown, while McDown ran for 167 yards. Teammate Bole added to the ground attack by rushing for 109 yards.
Logan Johnson made the biggest impact on defense this week as Galena defeated the Vikings. The 5-foot-11 sophomore pulled down one interception and recorded one fumble.
Daniel Peak was the best wideout in the league this week as Southeast lost to Girard. Peak racked up five receptions for 70 yards. Caleb Biancarelli helped Southeast's passing attack out by catching one ball for six yards.
The Lancers' Josh Thompson and Peak have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Thompson has thrown for 708 yards this season, while Peak, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 22 catches for 427 yards. The Titans' Bole leads the league in rushing yards with 453.
A big matchup in Crawford-Neosho-Cherokee this week will be when the Trojans take on the Panthers. As it stands, Girard is in fourth, while St. Mary's-Colgan is in second.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Leon Miller's team takes on Chuck Smith's team. The Trojans have allowed 28 points this season, while the Panthers have given up 38. Girard allowed 0 points last week as it bested Southeast.
There should be lots of points scored when Columbus and Beau Sarwinski's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Dan Grundy's team comes in having scored 124 this season, while the Bulldogs have scored 196. The Titans scored 56 points last week as they defeated Riverton.
Columbus moved up to 133 from 175 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 56-27 win over the Rams helped the Titans improve their standing.
