Heartland's Jordan Heinrich rumbled for the longest rushing play in D1 District 5 (8 Man) this season in his game against Bruning-Davenport/Shickley last week. Heinrich scampered for 56 yards on the play and finished with 143 on the day as his team fell to the Eagles.
Bruning-Davenport/Shickley extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Heartland, 53-18. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Heartland's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Huskies feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Colton Siebert has thrown for 158 yards this season, while Lincoln Ruybalid has seven catches for 97 yards. Ruybalid leads the league in rushing with 513 yards.
A big matchup in D1 District 5 (8 Man) this week will be when McCool Junction takes on Franklin. As it stands, the Mustangs are in first, while the Flyers are in third.
McCool Junction led the league in scoring this week after putting up 59 points on Red Cloud.
