Pueblo Central is 9-1 against Pueblo South since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wildcats will head out to challenge the Colts at 7:00 p.m. Pueblo Central will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Pueblo Central had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Pueblo Centennial on Saturday. The Wildcats never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. With that victory, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Camden Monlux, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Perko, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Pueblo Central hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive contests.
Pueblo South not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 15th (when they won 10-0). They put the hurt on Pueblo Centennial with a sharp 9-3 win. The Colts haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Camron Montoya spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Kade Ortiz was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Andrew Nolasco, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one double.
Pueblo Central's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Pueblo South, their record now sits at 13-5.
Pueblo Central skirted past Pueblo South 2-1 when the teams last played two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
