The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for East Dayton Christian in their matchups with Temple Christian: they've now lost five in a row.
East Dayton Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Owen Warden, who scored eight points along with six rebounds, and Damir Walder who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds. Warden also grabbed two steals for the first time this season.
Even though they lost, East Dayton Christian were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
East Dayton Christian bumped their record down to 1-11 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Temple Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.
East Dayton Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Christian Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Temple Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Dominion Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
