Football Recap: Perkins Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Perkins walked away with it. They breezed past the Napoleon Wildcats to the tune of 31-0 on Friday. Considering the Pirates have won nine contests by more than 28 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Blake Parker produced another solid performance picking up 158 receiving yards and one TD. That's the most receiving yards he has posted since back in September.

Perkins didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kaden Legando and Bryce Davie.

The victory was the eighth in a row for Perkins, bringing their record up to 9-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.3 points over those games. As for Napoleon, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Perkins will square off against Galion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Pirates 10.2, the Tigers 10.1) so any points scored will be well earned. Napoleon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
