Copiague is a perfect 3-0 against Hampton Bays since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Eagles will host the Baymen at 11:00 a.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Copiague turned things around against Half Hollow Hills East on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the RedHawks 3-1.

Aidan Roman made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Copiague is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-8 otherwise. Roman was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
In other batting news, Adrian Cruz was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Hampton Bays waltzed into their contest on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Musketeers.
Like Copiague, Hampton Bays also got a great game from a two-way player: Cole Wilson *. On the mound, he pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. Wilson * was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on John Tedesco, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. Nate Donahue * was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
The win got Hampton Bays back to even at 4-4. As for Copiague, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.
Copiague took their win against Hampton Bays in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 12-6 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Baymen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
