The Bethany Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 16th straight loss. They took a serious blow against Piedmont Classical, falling 86-22. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Bethany has suffered against Piedmont Classical since February 25, 2020.
Piedmont Classical found their leader in underclassman Cameron Anderson, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 1 assist. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Anderson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ja'el Lawson, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and six steals.
Bethany's loss was their 11th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Piedmont Classical, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bethany will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against College Prep & Leadership Academy at 8:00 p.m. on January 26th. As for Piedmont Classical, they will face off against Leadership Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Leadership Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
