Tolland suffered their closest defeat since May 7th on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Waterford Lancers by a score of 4-2. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Corey Culhane put in work while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Culhane wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Evan Clark, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Tolland's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Waterford, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

While Tolland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
