The Klein Cain Hurricanes will head out on the road to face off against the Tomball Memorial Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Klein Cain's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Even though Tomball scored an imposing 66 points on Friday, Klein Cain still came out on top. Klein Cain secured a 72-66 W over Tomball. Given Klein Cain's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while Tomball is ranked 361st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
John Clark continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Koye Rondeno, who scored 14 points along with six assists and three steals.
Meanwhile, Tomball Memorial stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 66-34 win over Waller. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Tomball Memorial has posted since December 13, 2023.
Klein Cain now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Tomball Memorial, they pushed their record up to 18-7 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Klein Cain might still be hurting after the 65-43 loss they got from Tomball Memorial in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Klein Cain avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
